Family Matters

I grew up in a small town an hour south of Chicago and we lived in the country where our summers were spent outdoors along creeks and rivers. Ok mostly In creeks and rivers! Fishing, camping and riding bikes on country roads all were staples of summer time activities.

I have two adult children who have successful careers, a rescue pit bull who is a senior and I have 2 grandsons that are a handful but are absolutely amazing kids. I am luckily enough be able to watch the sporting events, dirt bike riding at the MX track and enjoy the afternoon fishing with them.

Growth and Innovation

Over the course of my life I've been involved with woodworking to some degree or another. In high school, shop class and welding were definitely my favorite classes. In my 20's i tinkered with antiquing and making rustic projects using seasoned barnwood and other small projects. Woodworking and home improvement projects has always been intuitive to me.

Fast forward to the digital age where the ability to generate new ideas, research info, source the right tool etc., all at the tips of our fingers, have really opened up a lot of possibilities to expand my skills. Everyday is a learning opportunity .

Following my Passion

The ability to create something amazing or repair something and make it useful again has always been gratifying to me. Woodworking is an art of creation and certainly a reflection on ones ability to selflessly invest time and effort into a product that makes a positive impact on others.
